Surface Output Specs Table

This option deals with the specification of output variables to be written to the Tas Simulation Data (TSD) during simulation. Hourly values of these variables may be accessed using the Results Viewer.

The table will display the name and description of each profile that you've created. You will be able to sort the table by left-clicking on the associated column header. Left-clicking on the header again will reverse the order.

To create a "Surface Output Specification" profile, right-click on the Surface Output Specifications folder, and then select "Surface Output Spec" on the context menu.

You can copy a surface output specification by left-clicking on the '+' symbol by the Surface Output Specifications folder. Point the mouse cursor over the surface output specification icon in the Tree View, hold down the left mouse button, move the cursor so it is positioned over the Surface Output Specifications folder, and then release the mouse button. A copy with the same name as the original profile will be made.

Double-clicking on a row in the table will bring up the Surface Output Specification details window. For more information about this, please read the Surface Output Specs topic.

You can apply a surface output specification to one or more zones.

To apply it to a single zone, left-click on the '+' symbol by the Surface Output Specifications folder to show all surface output specifications. Left-click on the '+' symbol by the Zones folder to show all zones. Position the mouse cursor so that it is over the Surface Output Specification icon in the Tree View, hold down the left mouse button, move the cursor to the zone icon in the Tree View, and then release the mouse button.

Alternatively, left-click on the Zone folder to show the Zones table. Left-click on the '+' symbol by the Surface Output Specifications folder to show all surface output specifications. Position the mouse cursor over the Surface Output Specification icon in the Tree View, hold down the left mouse button, move the cursor to the zone's row in the Zones table, and then release the mouse button.

To apply a surface output specification to multiple zones, you will have to select the zones in the Zones table by holding down the <Ctrl> button while left clicking on them. You can select a range of zones by left-clicking on the first zone in the range. Now hold down the <Shift> key on your keyboard, and then click on the very last in the range. All the zones within this range will be selected. Left-click on the '+' symbol next to the Surface Output Specifications folder, position the mouse cursor over the appropriate Surface Output Spec icon, hold down the left mouse button, move the cursor to the  Zones table, and then release the mouse button.

To apply a surface output specification to a particular surface, select the Zone details window, left-click on the Surfaces tab, and then left-click in the "Output Spec" box for the appropriate surface. Now click on the down arrow, and then select the appropriate output specification on the drop-down list. If you select the <blank> option, then a surface output specification will not be applied. Only one surface output specification can be applied to a zone.

To remove all surface output specifications that have been applied to the surfaces of a zone, right-click anywhere in this table, and then choose "Remove All Output Specs" on the context menu.
