Internal Conditions Table

This option deals with the specification of environmental control, incidental gains, infiltration, and also ventilation. The table displays all internal condition profiles alongside a description of the profile. You can sort the table by either the 'Name' or 'Description' parameter by left-clicking on the associated column header. Left-clicking again on the header will reverse the order.

Profiles for internal conditions are created in the Internal Conditions Database. They cannot be created in the Building Simulator. You can delete an internal condition in the Building Simulator by left-clicking on the appropriate row in the table, and then pressing the <Delete> button. Alternatively, you can delete an internal condition by clicking on the '+' symbol next to the Internal Conditions folder, left-clicking on the appropriate profile icon, and then pressing the <Delete> key on your keyboard.

You can copy an internal condition by left-clicking on the '+' next to the Internal Conditions folder, moving the mouse cursor over the icon for the internal condition which will be visible in the Tree View, holding down the left-mouse button, dragging the mouse cursor onto the Internal Conditions folder, and then releasing the mouse button. A copy with the same name as the original will be made.

Double-clicking on a row in the table will bring up the details window for the internal condition, which will be shown on the right. For more details about this please see the section on Internal Conditions.

To apply an internal condition to multiple zones, you will have to select the zones on the Zones table. Do this by holding down the <Ctrl> key on your keyboard while left-clicking on the zones. You can select a range of zones by left-clicking on the first one in the range, holding down the <Shift> key, and then clicking on the last zone. All the zones in between will also be selected. Once this is done, left-click on the '+' next to the Internal Conditions folder, drag the mouse cursor onto the appropriate icon, hold down the left mouse button, drag the cursor onto the Zones table, and then release the mouse button.

Another way of applying an internal condition to multiple zones is by assigning it to a zone group. Left-click on the '+' symbol next to the Internal Conditions folder. Now left-click on the '+' next to the Zones Groups folder. Drag the mouse cursor onto the Internal Conditions icon in the Tree View, hold down the left mouse button, drag the cursor onto the zone group, and then release the mouse button. This will apply the internal condition to all of the zones in the selected zone group.

If a zone has at least one internal condition applied to it, then a tick will be visible next to its icon in the Tree View.
