Edit 3D Planes

On the Tools menu, click Edit 3D Planes, and then select a plane from the list. The dialog can only be opened if you have created a plane AND a 2D view is active. It will show planes by name and by type. If a plane has been created by points, then "Points" will be displayed under the "Type" column. The equivalent will be true for a plane created by inclination or by offset.

Editing a plane which is already applied to a surface will not automatically update the geometry, so you will have to manually reapply the plane to the surface. Apply the plane by using the "Select Space" tool, and then click Height on the context menu, which is opened by right-clicking in the space/room. On the Space Heights dialog, choose whether to apply the plane to the ceiling (on the Ceiling Height tab) or the floor (on the Floor Height tab). Clear the "Use default wall height of current floor" checkbox and click on the down-arrow for "Select plane to calculate". Choose a plane from the drop-down list. Click on the Apply button to preview the plane in a 3D floors view.

Click OK to apply the plane, or click Cancel.

Name This is the name of the plane.
Type Describes how the plane was created; by points, inclination, or offset. See New 3D Plane for details on each type of plane.
Edit Plane Opens the original dialog that was used to define the plane: by points, inclination, or offset. You can then edit the dialog to revise the plane and click OK.
You are given the option to click the Apply button to preview the plane before clicking OK.
