Chillers, fans, and pumps will be assigned to grid supplied electricity by default.
When modelling an absorption chiller the circuit can be moved to another fuel source rather than use grid supplied electricity.
Fuel sources for space heating boilers and DHW can be specified on this screen if a fuel wasn't chosen when the efficiency profiles were described in the respective editor dialogs.
PV panels and wind turbines will automatically be assigned to grid displaced electricity.
For heating and DHW the notional building will use the same fuel source as the actual building unless the CO2 factor is greater than oil, in which case the notional building will use oil.
Energy generated by the SHW panel is automatically removed from the DHW load and will not appear in this list.
The notional building will use grid supplied electricity for the chiller and will not benefit from SHW, PV, or wind turbines.
Exercise and Notes
Make sure all components are assigned to the appropriate fuel source. Drag and drop as appropriate. To create a new fuel source click the Add a Fuel Source button on the fuel sources toolbar.
